While this won't protect you from harsh weather conditions it is fine for use throughout the day, especially if you don't want a greasy lotion. Dr. Hunter's Rosewater and Glycerin Hand Creme absorbs fast and leaves your hands silky and soft. This lotion (more like a lotion than a cream) contains almond oil and shea butter. I was also pleased to read that this product is not made with any animal ingredients nor is it tested on animals. The rose fragrance in this product is especially pretty and a little addictive. You may find you are using this lotion even more than usual because it has such a pleasant fragrance. If you are looking for something even more rich than this product I can also recommend Helping Hands Hand Lotion by LUSH.

I was skeptical when I felt how light this was... I didn't think it could do its job without being heavier. But it is an effective hand cream and it smells wonderful. I'm a convert.
Best Product for Dry Hands June 10, 2007

I wash my hands frequently, and work in an office where I am handling a lot of paper. My hands are extremely dry, every day. This hand cream is light and silky, and really more like the texture of lotion than cream. However, it absorbs so quickly, I never leave greasy prints around like I do with other products, and it really, really lasts. I have tried hand lotions and creams at basic stores like bath and body works, the body shop, and higer end stores like caswell-massey, evelyn and crabtree, bliss, and others, and this is by far, the best product I have ever tried. And though the texture is light, the effect is powerful. I recommend this to anyone...if your hands are not as bad, simply use less. If you have extra dry hands like me, use a little more. It is the BEST.
